I served as the Volunteer Digital Media and Marketing Consultant, instrumental in overseeing the digital brand evolution and supporting a major organizational rebranding effort. My role included developing the content framework and visual guidelines that empowered the organization to strategically activate its digital presence in key battleground states.
Process:
My role guided the digital strategy from concept to rapid delivery, coordinating media capture and asset creation across the organization’s major initiatives.
I helped establish a strategic, rapid-deployment content framework designed for immediate use by internal teams and external stakeholders.
I coordinated and executed on-the-ground media capture at high-stakes events, including town halls, conferences, and special events.
I was instrumental in capturing and producing compelling video content for social audiences, alongside professional photography, enabling the organization to reinforce its mission as a trusted community messenger.
Amplification & Influence:
Beyond direct digital engagement, I facilitated the strategic use of captured content to shape broader media narratives and political discourse.
Media Outreach: Managed the delivery of high-impact photography and video assets to key media outlets and political publications, securing coverage and amplifying the voices of Black men on priority issues.
Political Stakeholder Engagement: Created and packaged content, including town hall summaries and policy discussions, for targeted dissemination to elected officials, candidates, and political influencers.
Narrative Control: Ensured the organization's content reflected the community's policy demands, centering economic justice, health, and education for greater impact on legislation and public conversation.
Impact:
This targeted digital strategy and content execution played a critical role in expanding the organization's grassroots network and successfully elevating Black men's political power. By consistently capturing and strategically sharing high-quality visual stories, we reinforced the organization’s ability to meet constituents where they are, from the barbershop to the ballot box. The result was a polished and compelling digital brand that strengthened civic leadership across 14 target states.
